“Book of Mormon” in Hebrew is Sefer Mormon — ספר מורמון. Sefer (סֵפֶר) means “book,” and Mormon is the name carried over from the record itself. Learn more on the Sefer Mormon page.

This edition is in Biblical Hebrew — the Hebrew of the Torah and the prophets — not Modern Hebrew. Biblical Hebrew reads to a Hebrew speaker the way scripture is meant to read, which is why it was chosen over the modern register used in earlier, out-of-print attempts.
